Hello! How's it going? I hope everyone is not too stressed out with preparation for the exams ><

Last week we had combined cell where we appreciated our dear Eunice Teo with the bomb video AMA be!! Thanks to everyone who has made this video possible despite the busy week! I'm hoping to make a blooper video and post it on facebook soon, probably when I've gotten tired of studying and decide to take a break haha. And hopefully the blooper vid can give everyone a good laugh and relieve the study stresses =)

Anyway, all the best for the coming exams yeah! Remember to concentrate, focus and study smart! And personally I think the smartest way to prepare for exams is to ask for God's power and wisdom! Why? Because God already knows which question is coming out in your exam paper haha!

I would like to share with you a few tips from my past experiences. If you ever feel that you are not productive enough and very stressed up, try go to God and ask for help, it'll amaze you. I remember last time during exam period I went home earlier than usual (from the library) because I felt I'm not productive. So what happened is all my housemates are out to study so I'm home alone. I grabbed my guitar and start worshipping God and after that I felt my burdens lifted up! And I felt the confidence in me! Don't turn to chocolate(which will make you fat) when you're stressed up! Turn to God!

Hope to meet up with you guys soon ay, probably this friday? Maybe for a short prayer for the exams :). We all would need it hehe.

And now...time to get back to work! Let's try our best!

HELLO!!!! =D

Hello dear cellies! So so so sorry for not updating the blog for so long! ><. It's almost been a month!

Time passes by so fast ay? I heard that the Exam timetable is out already...so fast right! =S
Soon the semester will end! And we only have around 4 more cells to go!! =O. But fear not! Let's treasure the time left that we get to spend with each other! =D

Anyway, today was Pledge Weekend. Members of the Church came together to raise fund for the new building we are going to buy by the end of this year. Honestly at first I felt obligated to give out of my comfort, but when I see the enthusiasm that the leaders have, I sort of caught the fire in them. Picture what are the possibilities in the future? We a bunch of students are able to build a church here in Perth! We will bring the kingdom of God into this city! Something great is happening around us right now and I thank God that we have the privilege to be a part of it. =)

Next up....Ironman2!!! Yes most of us went to see the movie just now! It was good! But personally I prefer the first one =p. It's a church event and we booked 2 cinemas exclusively for us! I think most of us had fun today =), a good break before we all go into study mode to prepare for the exam that is coming soon.

Ok I shall not post anything here in case I spoil the story for everyone else. =p

Passion Easter Camp 2010

Hello cellies!

How has your Easter break been? I am sure we would all agree that the holiday was too short. Can’t believe that a week has past by in a blink of an eye, eh? Hehe. Anyway, a few of us (10, to be precise) had a great opportunity of going to the Easter camp after the Easter service from Sunday to Tuesday arvo. =) And needless to say, most of us (I’d love to speak for the general masses) agrees that the camp was an awesome break as we’ve got the sand, surf and beach (albeit the season turning to autumn).

Apart from all the recreation that the camp provided, I believed that we as Christians learned a lot from the 3 sessions that we had at the camp. I guess this would be a section for me to confess that during the first session by Ps. Mark (Pompey) that I was actually falling asleep on my chair. =(. I know right, bad bad me. But but, we have Shannon to thank for summarizing with us (for the benefit of those who did not attend the camp, or may I add, for those who had a long day and couldn’t resist closing their eyes during the session) during cell on Friday. =)

Our second session that were placed during the next day catered to all teenagers (and youthful adults) who are in a relationship (*wink wink*) or in the works of being in one or who are still single. YAY. If you guys can guess it, it’s the BGR talk. =). Personally, I’d have to agree that I’ve learned a lot from this session as there are certain areas that I need to get my head around before jumping into a relationship. However, having known that God loves us so much, much, much that it can’t be denied that we should always seek His kingdom first and all things will be given to us.

But I guess what I really took home with me was the most powerful and engaging night which was the night when I needed God’s presence to again be filled in me: i.e. my inner-man being filled with the Holy Spirit. Often our life is filled with many ups and downs that along the way, we may stumble and even fail to listen to Him. That is when we rely so much on ourselves and our emotions overwhelmed our ability to trust God and even worship Him. It was a great night because for myself, I realized that whatever bad thoughts or emotions that I’ve been harboring over the past few months have been released, because God has answered my prayers, that is to forgive and let go of my anger. At that point of time, I knew how great our God is because though I’ve sinned, He did not give me the stick but rather, He still loves me for who I am and He is as the psalmist wrote in psalm 23, that He is the shepherd that guides me. All I had to do was to acknowledge His presence, as even though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil, for your rod and your staff, they are with me.

At the end of the day, the focus of the camp is not only to foster our friendship with the people in church that I call my family, but also to be refreshed and being in real fellowship with our God and savior.

All in all, this camp has been the vacation I needed! So, who’s up for another water bomb tournament by the beach?!!! Let’s go for the next Passion camp. Whee! 

Passion Easter Retreat!

Hey Ho People! Another new week ahead! Haha! Do most of you have assignments due or mid-sem exams soon? I know I got lots of assignments due this week! ><. So GAMBATEH in everything you do k!! Just one more week till the Easter holidays + Study break!

Anyway speaking of study break, I think most of you already know that there will be a Easter Retreat organized by our church from Sunday afternoon till Tuesday. So I just wanna share some of my memories I had for the past few years I've been there = ).

The first time I went to Easter Retreat was the year 2007. It was my first year in Perth and I'm still studying in college like kimmei, megan and james. The first thing that came up my mind when my cell leader at that time asked me to go to the retreat was...FUN! Haha! I don't know why but I just felt like there will be so much fun and I don't wanna miss out on it! So I went! Yays!

This is my first ever easter bunny that my homestay at that time gave me!

The thing about going to the retreat is that you'll never know who you will met! For example the picture above, some of you might recognize some of the people in it. The thing is at that time I don't even know a single one of them!!! It just happened that they are posing for another camera and I secretly took a snapshot too =p. It's not until year 2008 that I realized that these are the people that would be part of my life soon.

Now to 2008 easter camp! I'll show you some picture to let you know what's it like to be there. Cause this year it'll be the same venue as year 2008!

Yup that dude in pink shirt is me. lol. We were having some fun times on the beach. And yes this year we are going back there again! I tell you it's super awesommeee fun at the beach haha. You'll get time to spend on your own so you can choose to go there =).

Now for last year's Easter retreat....2009!

Last year was one of the BoomZ year if you know what I'm talkin about. Awesome venue, awesome friends, and most of all awesome activities and sermons. Pictures again (cause I took so many of them...like 579 in total lolz...):

Yays! There goes a sneak peak into my memories of Passion Easter Retreat 2007-2009!!

In short, it's not everyday that you've got the chance to just leave everything behind and just go and have fun with your yellow fellow friends. I couldn't tell you what might happen if you go to the retreat, but one thing I know, that is I have no regrets going to all 3 years of the retreats. And this year I'll make it my fourth! Yays!

So...for those of you who've read this post all the way till here...Good on ya! And for those who just scrolled down to read teh summary....I hereby punish you to join this year's Passion Easter Retreat! Ha!

hows everyone holding up?? hopefully the terrible hail storm hasn't affected anyone too badly.. i know of afew ppl dat has been affected by it. but hopefully no more... thank God the 2nd predicted one never came :D can't tell you how happy i am.. what an experience isn't it? the hail and all.. worst in 50 yrs i hear.. if any of you need help with patching stuff up or picking u up if u're stranded somewhere.. pls feel free to contact me k? i'm 24 hrs on standby. hehehe...

Movie On Saturday Anyone?

Hello everyone! How's uni been treating you this week? Hope everything is still fine =)

Anyway we were thinking of having a cell outing this Saturday (20/3/2010) to unwind things. We'll go Subiaco and watch a movie called "The Blind Side". It's based on a true and touching story between a women and a boy she helped. This woman really stepped out of her comfort zone to go and help this person, so it's in line with our cell vision! Ha!

So before we going to watch the movie at 6:50pm, we'll go dinner first around Subi at 5:30pm! The dinner place haven't been decided so what we'll gonna do is to vote for our dinner place! Check out these recommended restaurants and cast your votes!
